SALARY: £55,000 – £60,000 PER ANNUM (FIXED-TERM, PRO RATA; NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

Start Date: February 2026 (or earlier, by agreement)

We are a busy, community-focused independent pharmacy in East Belfast with a strong reputation for excellent patient care and a loyal customer base. With our Pharmacist Manager due to go on maternity leave in March 2026, we are seeking an experienced Pharmacist Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team and take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.

The Role

  • Full management responsibility for all aspects of pharmacy operations.
  • Leading and supporting a team of 10–12 staff in a busy, challenging environment.
  • Keyholding, security, and ensuring compliance with all PSNI/NHS requirements.
  • Reporting directly to the owner, with the autonomy to make operational decisions.
  • Support from a second pharmacist, ensuring shared workload and strong professional backup.
  • Full induction and handover period before maternity leave begins.

About You

  • Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
  • Experience in independent community pharmacy preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Committed to providing outstanding patient service.
  • Proficient in using McLernons MPS pharmacy system (or able to quickly become competent).
