JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with a focus on medication management and administration. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients, particularly those in critical care settings. QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’sdegree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification; registration with the relevant pharmacy council is essential.
• Previous experience in an ICU environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacotherapy.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership when required.

• Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
• Provide expert advice on the safe use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
• Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct patient consultations to assess medication therapy and provide counselling on health management.
• Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for adjustments in therapy as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions.
• Collaborate with medical staff, particularly in ICU settings, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacology.
