Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and ensure patient safety.
  2. Review prescriptions and provide appropriate recommendations regarding medication selection, dosage, and usage based on patient-specific requirements.
  3. Provide medication counseling to patients, explaining proper usage, dosage instructions, possible side effects, and storage requirements.
  4. Monitor patient responses to medications and recommend adjustments when required to improve treatment effectiveness and safety.
  5. Ensure compliance with MOH/DHA/SHA regulations and maintain professional pharmacy standards.
  6. Dispense medications accurately while ensuring proper documentation and record maintenance.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care and medication management.
  8. Maintain updated knowledge of new medications, treatment guidelines, and pharmacy practices.
  9. Manage pharmacy inventory, ensure proper storage conditions, and monitor expiry dates.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and address patient queries professionally.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. UAE Experienced candidates are preferred for this role.
  2. Active and licensed pharmacists with valid MOH, DHA, or SHA eligibility/license are encouraged to apply.
  3. Candidates with Pharm.D, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm qualifications are preferred.
  4. Minimum relevant experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting is preferred.
  5. Strong knowledge of medication management, drug interactions, dosage recommendations, and patient safety practices.
  6. Ability to provide effective medication counseling and educate patients regarding proper medication usage, side effects, and storage.
  7. Good understanding of UAE pharmacy regulations and professional practices.
  8. Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR) is an added advantage.
  9. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in relevant languages to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
  10. Strong attention to detail, professional ethics, and commitment to delivering quality patient care.
