Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for oversight of all medication management items within the surgery pharmacy. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders for both pediatric and adult patients, identifying, compounding, and preparing surgical medications and providing medication information to all providers within surgery. Additional duties include oversight of daily controlled medication use, responsibilities for ordering inventory and dispensing to pharmacy automation, monthly unit inspections, technician oversight and medication education to providers, nursing, pharmacy students/residents and patients. Pharmacist will also be involved in order set development and review. We are seeking a pharmacist who is motivated, detail-oriented, capable of managing dosing, discussing policies with physicians, and able to work independently. Candidates with a passion for pediatric care and a background in surgical pharmacy and pediatric medications are preferred. As our facility expands to include more operating rooms and a pharmacy, this role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with our medication management and compounding policies. Qualifications REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Georgia Pharmacist License. PREFERRED: Strong surgical and pediatric medications background Knowledge of JACO review and 797 rules Comfortable talking to surgery personnel for changing processes Good communication skills Work Hours: 6am-3pm
