How you'll contribute: A Pharmacist who excels in this role: * Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. * Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. * Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students. * Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. * Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. * Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. What we're looking for Applicants should have an Bachelor’s Degree (required); Doctorate Degree preferred. Additional requirements include: * Pharmacy License in the state of Texas. * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. * CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire and prior to any patient contact.
