Reports to Regional Director of Pharmacy Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, each Pharmacist is responsible for the operations and safety of the pharmacy, including compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Each Pharmacist is responsible for the direct oversight of all medication preparations and dispensing. The Pharmacist may also serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge per state licensing requirements. Requirements B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or Registered pharmacist license if foreign graduate Active registered pharmacy license in state(s) of practice and additional states as required without restrictions 1 year of hospital and home infusion therapy experience preferred Two years recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred Thorough knowledge of infusion therapies preferred Recent inventory management experience preferred Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmacokinetic dosing preferred Knowledge of CPR+ software preferred Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Closely collaborate with the nursing organization to coordinate optimal care for the patients and service for the patient referral sources (e.g., hospitals, physician groups, etc…) Able to assume temporary leadership of the pharmacy with minimal supervision, as designated by the Pharmacist in Charge Checking and dispensing of medications in compliance with state and federal laws Maintain strong knowledge of PromptCare’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure that they are applied consistently Demonstrate thorough understanding of pharmacy rules and government regulations and dispense accordingly Answer a variety of questions as presented by PromptCare’s, technicians, nurses, and salespeople Other duties assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
