Requirements Key Responsibilities: Accurately prepare, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines. Review medication orders for accuracy, interactions, contraindications, and proper dosing. Provide clinical consultation and education to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Monitor patient medication profiles and adjust therapy as needed to optimize outcomes. Participate in formulary management, medication reconciliation, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations, including controlled substance management. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns in daily operations. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs. Maintain knowledge of new drugs, therapies, and best practices in pharmaceutical care. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy required. Licensure: Current and active Mississippi Pharmacist license in good standing required. Experience: Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred. New graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply. Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
