Position: Technical Pharmacist (Non-Retail)
Location: St. John’s, NFLD
Compensation: $75/hour
Contract Duration: ASAP for until the end of September
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, or 9am to 5pm, with 30 minute unpaid break
Our client’s specialty pharmacy in St. John’s offers a non-retail, closed-door setting—free from the demands of the public. Here, you’ll focus on what matters most: ensuring prescription accuracy and providing meaningful patient counseling when needed—all without the pressures of front-end retail.

Main Duties:

  • Check prescriptions to ensure proper dosage
  • Ability to calculate, measure, and mix the quantities of prescribed drugs and other ingredients required and filling the appropriate containers with the correct quantity as needed
  • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customer and communicate the dosage amount, adverse effects and other important indications
  • Maintain medication profiles of customers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in pharmaceutical operational systems, e.g. Kroll
