Description We Are Looking For A Pharmacist who will play a personal role within our community to ensure that our patients receive the medication and care that they need ranging from routine immunizations to patient consultations. This position will also serve as a trusted advisor and mentor to our pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, front-end associates, and delivery drivers. Responsibilities Dispenses prescribed medications and recommends appropriate over-the-counter therapies according to professional standards and state and federal legal requirements Directs pharmacy staff engaged in counting, filling, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications. Oversees daily ordering and participates in inventory management Reviews prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber, to assure accuracy and assess the appropriateness of therapy Certified to provide appropriate immunization services to walk-in patients (includes active CPR certification) Face to face meetings with patients and/or their caregivers to discuss specific pharmacy-related issues such as diabetes medication management, COPD management, supplement use, pain medications, etc Assess patients’ needs as it concerns medication adherence. This includes counseling, motivational interviewing, and assessment for adherence to packaging solutions Establishes and maintains good working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals To thrive in this role... Requirements What will you need to succeed?
