JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking a licensed Retail Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate dispensing of medications and to deliver outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate balances clinical knowledge, regulatory compliance, and strong customer service while supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting store operations.

Required qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
  • Experience with Kroll Paperless workflow is an asset.
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in ON
  • Immunization certification and current CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, drug interactions, and dosing guidelines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to use pharmacy management systems, point-of-sale, and electronic health records
  • Ability to stand for long periods; flexible schedule including weekends

Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner
  • Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence
  • Provide clinical services including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and health screenings
  • Verify prescriptions for legality, accuracy, and safety; resolve issues with prescribers and patients
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians’ workflow, training, and performance
  • Maintain controlled substance handling and recordkeeping in compliance with federal and state laws
  • Manage inventory, order medications, and perform returns or recalls as needed
  • Ensure pharmacy meets regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements
  • Participate in quality assurance, safety programs, and error reporting
  • Support pharmacy and store initiatives (vaccination clinics, health events, OTC recommendations)
