Description
Description The Pharmacist interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders. They shall also act as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties. Requirements Education: · Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. · Graduate from accredited School of Pharmacy. · Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training. Experience: · Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent. · One year ASHP accredited hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent preferred. · Management training or equivalent managerial experience preferred. Specific Skills: · Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. · Additional languages preferred. · Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified · Strong written and verbal skills.
