About the role


Support the efficient delivery of pharmacy services by providing high-quality administrative and operational support to The Royal Melbourne Hospital's Pharmacy Department. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll coordinate day-to-day departmental processes, maintain accurate records, and facilitate effective communication across the service.


You'll play a key role in the smooth operation of the department, contributing to an efficient and well-supported environment for staff while helping to enhance the experience of patients and stakeholders. Your work will enable clinical teams to focus on delivering safe, timely and person-centred care.


Key Accountabilities


- Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Pharmacy Department.

- Coordinate meetings, calendars, training activities and departmental communications.

- Support procurement, finance and resource administration, including purchasing and invoice processing.

- Assist with workforce administration, including recruitment, onboarding and staff records.

- Maintain accurate records, reports and databases to support departmental operations.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and administrative excellence.


About You


You are an organised and proactive administrator with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a collaborative environment.


You'll bring:


- Demonstrated administrative experience, ideally within a complex or healthcare setting.

- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams.
