WHAT YOU WILL NEED (REQUIREMENTS):

  • Grade 12 education or acceptable combination of experience and education.
  • Pass the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test.
  • Completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program (preferred)Two (2) years of dispensing experience (desirable)

Responsibilities
  • To be aware of, and informed about Calgary Co-op policies, guidelines, procedures, and approved practices.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping duties and the general appearance of the department when not occupied with duties involving the filling of a prescription.
  • Using the approved Position Descriptions as a basis, to work with the Pharmacy Manager in developing a detailed annual performance plan for this position, this will form the basis of the annual performance appraisal.
  • Assist in special projects as required.Focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility using creativity, ingenuity, and a high degree of common sense.
