JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Pharmacy Assistant Instructor will be responsible for teaching, evaluating, and supporting students in a virtual learning environment. The instructor will deliver course content aligned with curriculum outcomes and ensure that students gain practical knowledge in pharmacy operations, medication management, communication, and professional ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant program
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a pharmacy setting (retail, hospital, or long-term care)
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy software, prescription processing, and pharmacy law
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in an asynchronous online environment
  • Must reside in British Columbi
Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructional content asynchronously through the college’s LMS platform
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, quizzes, and projects
  • Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed
  • Ensure learning objectives and program outcomes are met for each course
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grading
  • Collaborate with academic coordinators to enhance curriculum delivery
  • Stay current with pharmacy practices and regulatory changes in British Columbia
