We are looking for a motivated pharmacy assistant passionate about health and wellness. We strive to provide excellent healthcare service, and we’re looking for a candidate that will help our patients achieve their goals.
The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for day to day pharmacy activities and assisting the pharmacy staff with administrative duties. Compounding specialty prescriptions will also be an important aspect of the job.
This position is for someone looking for full-time or part-time work.
Applicants must have a passion for helping others, customer service and a healthy lifestyle. Applicant must also be comfortable with non-sterile compounding on a regular basis (training will be provided).
Experience: 2 years in Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • Compounding non-sterile products Collect relevant patient information Create and update patient records on the computer. Enter and renew prescriptions and non-sterile products on the computer. Prepare the packaging of prescriptions by counting pills and applying labels and appropriate precautions on the vials. Obtain the pharmacist’s approval for prescriptions and other documents. Record purchases on the e-terminal and handle cash, credit card and debit payments, where applicable. Transfer claims to insurers and settle various problems regarding these claims Patient deliveries and patient scheduling documentation Invoice reconciliation Shipping and receiving courier packages Day to Day activities(Processing and filling of orders) Ensuring First Expired-First Out (FEFO) when filling orders Obtaining proof of delivery from carriers Tracking and managing documentation of courier shipments
