In addition to our dispensary, we have a non-sterile laboratory catering to anyone who requires compounded medication. We’re seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join the team at our 333 Sherbourne dispensary located within Sherbourne Health Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a pharmacy assistant or related role OR
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in retail or customer service roles
• Post secondary education in pharmacy or a related field is an asset
• Experience dealing with ODB and 3rd party payor reimbursement and exceptions is an asset
• Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset

• Confirm accuracy and completeness of all information during prescription intake
• Receive and input prescription orders into the Kroll system along with pertinent client notes
• Liaise with healthcare providers to ensure accuracy of prescription information
• Assist in the accurate preparation, packaging and labelling of medications to be dispensed
• Arrange delivery of prescriptions
• Answer all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner, providing exceptional customer service to clients
• Take inventory of all medications and pharmaceutical supplies
• Receive medication stock and supplies; restock shelves as needed
• Ensure that work areas are organized and clean
• Work collaboratively with the dispensary, compounding and shipping team
