Location: St. John’s, NL
Pharmacy: Specialty Pharmacy
Position: Pharmacy Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: Up to $20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Contract (1 month), with strong potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP
About the Opportunity:
A busy and dynamic specialty pharmacy in St. John’s is seeking a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on an immediate basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialized pharmacy environment. The initial contract is for one month with a high likelihood of extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and rotating stock.
  • Process prescription orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients and answering phone inquiries.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing patient records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient daily operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and general computer skills.
  • A professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude.
