In this role, the Pharmacy Assistant supports daily pharmacy operations, including assisting with prescription processing, organizing medication stock, and maintaining accurate records. The individual will interact with patients in person and by phone, providing courteous customer service, answering routine questions, and directing clinical inquiries to a pharmacist. Daily tasks include handling prescription intake, preparing labels, managing inventory, stocking shelves, and helping maintain a clean, safe workspace. The Pharmacy Assistant collaborates with pharmacists and other team members to ensure timely service, regulatory compliance, and a positive experience for every patient.Qualifications Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and basic prescription handling practices.
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette.
Experience with inventory management, including stock rotation and record keeping.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
Good written and verbal communication skills and a respectful, inclusive approach to all patients and colleagues.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy or point-of-sale systems.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or retail environment is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy assistant certification or training is an advantage.
