Where you'll be working
Located at Budyari Gilli, Blacktown Hospital, you’ll join Western Sydney Local Health District’s expanding Mental Health Services and play an important role in establishing a new specialist forensic mental health service. Opening on 13 October 2026, the 20-bed Low Secure Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Unit will provide specialised assessment, care and treatment within the forensic mental health system.
As part of a contemporary service being established from the ground up, you’ll work alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team committed to recovery-focused, trauma-informed and evidence-based care. The service will work closely with the Forensic Mental Health Network and Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network to support integrated care and continuity of treatment across NSW.
What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1/2 or Pharmacy Technician 1/2, you’ll provide safe, timely and high-quality pharmaceutical support across medication distribution, dispensing and production services. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient-centred service will contribute directly to safe medication management and quality care.

Essential Requirements:
Qualifications: Applicants without a nationally recognised pharmacy qualification will be classified as Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1.
Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 - Certificate II or III in Community Pharmacy provided by Pharmacy Guild/PSA.
Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 – Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support.
Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 - Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support.
