Job Summary:

Healthful Pharmacy is expanding! We are currently seeking two dynamic, outgoing, positive, dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Pharmacy Technicians or Pharmacy Assistants to join our growing pharmacy team. The successful candidates will play an important role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists, along with accurately processing prescriptions and dispensing medications. These are part-time/casual positions that require an understanding of medical terminology, patient confidentiality regulations, pharmacy operations and exceptional communications skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy assistant or technician and experience using the Kroll dispensary system is required to apply. We look forward to hearing from you !

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Accurately interpreting and entering prescriptions.

- Troubleshooting insurance/billing issues.

- Interacting with physician's offices and other healthcare practitioners to clarify prescriptions.

- Accurately packaging and dispensing medications.

- Assisting with medication ordering/receiving.

- Compounding medications as needed.

- Performing patient intakes, updating patient records, maintaining patient confidentiality.

- Entering and managing blister pack medications.

- Answering and triaging any phone calls and ensuring a positive experience for patients.

- Managing prescription drop off and pick-up areas.

- Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies and organizing medication deliveries.

- Opening and closing the pharmacy.

- Please Note: The pharmacy is integrated into a walk-in clinic and is located in Toronto near the intersection of Danforth Ave and Greenwood Ave. It is open from 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and Sat 9am-1pm (hours subject to change).
