We are seeking a dedicated Field Support Engineer to become a valuable member of our team. In this position, you will represent our company by delivering top-notch technical support and customer service for our advanced pharmacy automation solutions. Your responsibilities will include traveling within the region to service and maintain equipment in various pharmacy settings, ensuring our clients receive exceptional support and their systems operate smoothly.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education/Experience: An Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering Technology is preferred. Alternatively, a background of 3-5 years in a field service role, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience in servicing complex medical or business equipment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems (including Windows 2000, XP, 7, 10, and 11) and Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive understanding of basic computer networking, including using Windows tools to identify network and PC information, as well as setting up and operating routers and switches.
  • Familiarity with locating and editing configuration and XML files within a file structure.
  • Knowledge of ghosting and re-imaging processes.
  • SQL knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use standard hand tools for intricate disassembly and reassembly.
  • Proficiency with digital multi-meters and voltage/amperage testers.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Highly motivated to deliver exceptional customer care.
  • Willingness to extend beyond the typical workday when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing tools and inventory.
  • Timely reporting of expenses through Concur.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Support Engineer, your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional, collaborative, and supportive manner.
  • Maintaining and servicing pharmacy automation equipment, conducting preemptive maintenance to optimize uptime and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Responding to service requests within specified SLA requirements for break/fix situations.
  • Collaborating with regional and national service teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assisting the Product Implementation Team in installing new automation systems.
  • Training customers on the operation and routine maintenance of our products.
  • Logging all issues and resolution actions in Salesforce Field Service Lightning.
  • Providing valuable feedback to our management and engineering teams to contribute to product enhancements and operational efficiency.
  • Organizing and managing company-supplied tools and inventory.
  • Being available for occasional weekend, holiday, and overtime coverage, as well as periodic overnight stays and travel outside the local region.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude while working independently with minimal supervision.

This role demands a high level of physical activity and adaptability to various environments. You should be capable of:

  • Operating in both indoor and outdoor settings prevalent in pharmacy environments.
  • Engaging in prolonged standing and frequent walking.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Standing for up to 10-12 hours a day occasionally.
  • Performing visual, auditory, and physical tasks like climbing ladders, stooping, bending, reaching, and grasping.
  • Driving for an average of four hours per day, with varying shorter and longer drive times. Occasional air travel might also be necessary
