We are seeking a detail-oriented Field Support Engineer to become part of our team. As a valuable member, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch technical and customer support for our innovative pharmacy automation products. This role will involve traveling within the region to ensure the smooth operation of equipment in various pharmacy settings, guaranteeing exceptional service for our clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education/Experience: An Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering Technology is preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of 3-5 years of field service experience or a comparable background in servicing complex medical or business equipment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems (including Windows 2000, XP, 7, 10, and 11) and Microsoft Office.
  • Thorough understanding of basic computer networking concepts, including router and switch setup.
  • Familiarity with locating and editing configuration and XML files.
  • Experience in ghosting and re-imaging processes.
  • Familiarity with SQL is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical skills, including proficiency with hand tools and voltage testers.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Readiness to work extended hours when needed.
  • Effective organizational abilities for managing tools and inventory.
  • Prompt reporting of expenses through Concur.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Support Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to address inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Maintaining and servicing pharmacy automation equipment to optimize uptime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Responding promptly to service requests within designated SLAs for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Collaborating with service teams at regional and national levels to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Assisting in the installation of new automation systems with the Product Implementation Team.
  • Training customers on how to operate and maintain our products efficiently.
  • Recording all issues and resolutions in Salesforce Field Service Lightning.
  • Providing constructive feedback to management and engineering teams to enhance product performance.
  • Managing and organizing company-provided tools and inventory.
  • Being available for occasional weekend, holiday, and overtime work, as well as some travel outside the local region.
  • Representing the company with professionalism and autonomy while working independently.

This role involves a high level of physical activity and adaptability to various environments. In this position, you should be able to:

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor pharmacy settings.
  • Engage in long periods of standing and frequent walking.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand for extended periods occasionally.
  • Perform various physical tasks like climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, etc.
  • Drive a vehicle for an average of four hours daily, with some longer commutes expected. Periodic air travel may be required
