FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: 1 Shift Details: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm working 1-2 days per week on site at the Integrated Services Center or supported locations. No weekends or holidays Job Summary: Responsible for purchasing and receiving of pharmaceutical supplies, equipment and services within the Department of Pharmacy. Maintains contract compliance with GPO, purchasing compliance and standardization with system formulary, and DSCSA and DEA compliance. Assists pharmacy departments with optimization of inventory management and cost saving initiatives. Ensures that pharmacy purchasing is 340B compliant. Implements and enforces drug shortage strategies developed by the drug shortage team and the pharmacy inventory specialist. Prepares analytic reports for pharmacy senior buyers and inventory specialists. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 3 years of pharmacy technician experience is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate Degree in a supply chain or other applicable field is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel. Experience with reporting and analytics preferred. Demonstrates an understanding of DEA regulations and controlled substance ordering requirements. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
