Experienced Healthcare Counter Assistants required for our Herne Bay pharmacies (site to be discussed during an interview)
The role of a pharmacy counter assistant requires previous pharmacy retail experience and full knowledge of over the counter medications. Applicants will have needed to have completed either an NPA, Buttercups or similar UK issued qualification as a medicines healthcare assistant and have at least 3 years experience working in a UK BASED RETAIL PHARMACY.
Duties will include serving customers, handing out completed prescriptions, providing advice on medications that can be sold over the counter, ordering and putting away stock, cash handling and general housekeeping duties as well as recruiting patients for our pharmacy services.
Working in a community pharmacy requires the successful candidate to have an interest in the health and wellbeing of their customers and to want to be able to use their expertise to improve their healthcare needs. As this is a front of house role you will need to have good communication skills, be able to listen and respond accordingly and to engage in conversation with you customers.
The hours will mirror that of the branch where you will be working - as hours differ between branches hours will be discussed during an interview. This is a full time position which will involve working Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch and participating in a Saturday rota in one of the local branches if required.
