Job Title: Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time : Monday to Friday 9:00-5:30pm
Part time positions will also be considered
Reports to: Pharmacy Manager
Location: Cooper’s Pharmacy, Lenadoon Belfast Branch

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assisting the pharmacist with the preparation of prescriptions
· Label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner
· Create and update patient medication records in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality
· Sales of over the counter medicines, providing customers with information on symptoms and products
· Prescription receipt and collection
· Date checking, and ordering, pharmaceutical stock
· Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
· Managing queries from patients regarding their prescriptions
· Maintain full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions
