Description
Provides guidance in development and maintenance of Department of Pharmacy software applications. Performs maintenance, support and troubleshooting of systems appropriate to this department. Participates in enhancement and development projects including, but not limited to: programming and coding to design specifications and unit testing, as well as participation in system and integration testing. This position requires experience supporting Eclipsys E7000.
Responsibilities
1. Development of end user requirements including project scope, development of system requirements, project plan, identifying resource requirements and development of testing and validation procedures.
2. Supports system upgrades and table maintenance.
3. Collaborates with the Department of Pharmacy to refine and improve current applications.
4. Along with other team members, provides 24/ 7 end user support for assigned applications.
5. Maintenance of Pharmacy applications; logs project requests, status and completion dates for assigned projects.
6. Programming and coding of supported applications to meet emergency needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy (ACPE)
  • ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency or PGYY 2 residency in informatics
  • Two years working hospital experience as a pharmacist.
  • Experience in epic as a pharmacist end user
  • Experience as an epic builder
  • Able to independently review and validate build of medication records
  • Expert in troubleshooting of medication dispensing and charging review
  • Have support experience in epic willow functionality
  • Clinical Epic build skills in areas such as ordersets and scoring systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement process is necessary, as well as the ability to successfully integrate these into practice.
  • Able to create presentations, intermediate or expert use of Microsoft Office applications
