• Develops, designs, implements, maintains and evaluates pharmacy information technology and automation functionality to maintain compliance and with accepted standards of pharmacy practice.
• Coordinates with information systems to resolve issues and/or re-design processes when warranted. Participates in meetings with department, hospital, and corporate committees and groups related to pharmacy information system issues.
• Maintains computer databases that support appropriate record keeping and patient charge functionality. Assists in audits related to medication therapy and pharmacy patient charges.
• Coordinates orientation and training of hospital staff on pharmacy computer and automation systems.
• Collaborates with department director to develop short and long range plans and priorities and assists in budgeting for information systems projects.
