Position Overview Department: Pharmacy Schedule: PRN Rotating Days, evenings, nights (days 7a - 4p, evenings 3p - 8p, weekends primarily days) Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications. Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication. Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications. Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) preferred. Education: High school diploma equivalency and enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
