Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy team is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Liaison 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday. Pharmacy Liaison 1 Job Responsibilities: Utilizes clinical documentation to obtain prior authorization approvals and appeals. Assists patients with timely pharmacy access to medications and documents all related communications with patients, physicians, finance, nursing, case management in appropriate platform. Works with payers to obtain coverage for patients and appropriate emergency one-time overrides when needed and resolves prescription insurance billing problems. Cleans equipment, maintains all required temperature logs, and maintains accurate inventory values and drug procurement as per policies and procedures. Maintains accurate and up to date patient profiles and allergy and up to date medication reconciliation lists. Minimum Requirements: Education: High School or GED. Experience: Three (3) years’ experience working as a Pharmacy Technician and One (1) year experience with Pharmacy Billing. Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
