PHARMACY SERVICES AND MEDICINES OPTIMISATION

• Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. GPhC, MHRA, CQC) and national guidance relating to medicines management
• Lead the quality assurance agenda to ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal and professional standards required for achieving and maintaining Home Office Licence and CQC compliance with conjunction with Superintendent Pharmacist
• Promote evidence-based, cost-effective prescribing and medicine management through collaboration with prescribers

ROLE INFORMATION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to provide overall leadership and supervision of medicine management within the centre. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a pharmacy and all medicines management in other departments within the centre, ensuring that we meet regulatory requirements and safety standards in conjunction with the Welbeck Superintendent Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Manager will manage the Pharmacy Team at the Welbeck Centre and handle the administrative duties related to the sale, storage and supply of medications, alongside developing world class patient focused care. This is role is line managed by the Centre Director but is supported by the Welbeck Group Superintendent Pharmacist and Chief Nurse, with colleagues across a network of regional centres.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work predominantly Monday-Friday around the core hours of 9-6pm, however will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the centre which has extended opening hours and potential for weekend services. This position as Pharmacy Manager is a senior role, providing day-to-day leadership and supporting the strategic direction for the pharmacy department, ensuring high-quality service delivery at the Welbeck Centre as well as working operationally in the dispensary. You will lead and implement the delivery of safe management of medicines across the centre including surgery, minor procedures, outpatient and imaging departments.
