Job Description – Pharmacy Manager Location- Dade City, FL & New Port Richey, FL General Description The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the pharmacy while collaborating with Premier Community HealthCare providers and care teams to improve patient health outcomes. This position ensures compliance with all applicable Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations and works closely with the Director of Pharmacy to achieve organizational goals established by Premier’s Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. The Pharmacy Manager serves as both a clinical and operational leader, overseeing pharmacy staff, supporting medication management initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a patient-centered approach to care within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Oversee the daily workflow and operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Pharmacy Technicians and assigned pharmacy staff • Collaborate with providers and care teams regarding medication management and patient care needs • Assist patients and care team members with drug information, medication identification, and counseling support • Evaluate and resolve potential drug therapy concerns through prescription review, patient counseling, and clinical intervention • Ensure compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, AAAHC standards, and HRSA 340B program requirements • Manage medication inventory, purchasing, ordering, and storage to maintain adequate supply levels • Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and evaluate pharmacy staff while fostering engagement and retention • Promote teamwork, trust, accountability, and a psychologically safe work environment • Support service excellence initiatives and ensure patients receive accessible, compassionate healthcare services • Participate in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to enhance operational and clinical performance • Represent Premier’s mission and values through community engagement and outreach activities • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times • Communicate operational issues that may impact patient flow, safety, or pharmacy services • Perform other duties as assigned  Supervisory Responsibilities • Direct supervision of pharmacy personnel, including Pharmacy Technicians and other assigned staff • Responsible for day-to-day pharmacy operations, staff performance management, coaching, scheduling, and development  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy practice, and medication management • Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and the HRSA 340B Drug Pricing Program • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple departments • Experience supporting change management initiatives and process improvement efforts • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills • Exceptional customer service skills with empathy and compassion for diverse patient populations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality • Demonstrated alignment with Premier Community HealthCare’s mission, vision, and values  Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy required • PharmD preferred • Active Florida Pharmacist license required • Five (5) or more years of successful experience as a practicing pharmacist • Prior experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) strongly preferred • Experience with a 340B pharmacy program strongly preferred • Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and complete annual compliance requirements  Working Conditions & Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 30–50 lbs. occasionally • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Direct exposure to computer screens • Possible exposure to contagious or infectious diseases • Ability to travel between Premier Community HealthCare sites for coverage, meetings, or operational support as needed  Background Screening Requirement This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
