Description

DESCRIPTION

Performs duties related to daily department operations including packaging and labeling of products, IV admixture, ADM distribution and maintenance. Assess organization regulatory compliance status, develop and implement action plans, policies and procedures and educate hospital staff. Survey all areas on/off campus where medications are stored or utilized to assure regulatory compliance to accrediting bodies (e.g. TJC, DNV), CMS and Board of Pharmacy rules, regulations or statutes. Acts as Pharmacy liaison to nursing, physician and other ancillary disciplines to problem solve and educate staff on compliance issues.

Required qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License.
  • 3 years Minimum of 3 years (> 6240 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 4 years (> 8320 hours) experience if technician does not have PTCB certification.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • upon hire: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certificate Program.
  • Upon hire: Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., advanced certified pharmacy technician).
  • Pharmacy quality & compliance experience.
  • Medication safety experience.
