ABOUT THE ROLE Job Purpose: As a Pharmacy Representative, your primary role is to drive product awareness and adoption by engaging healthcare professionals with scientific, ethical, and impactful communication—supporting AstraZeneca’s mission to improve patient outcomes and achieve business goals within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with sales managers to develop and implement effective territory sales plans. Drive sales performance by meeting or surpassing sales forecasts and managing assigned budgets effectively to fulfil therapeutic and territorial objectives. Apply AstraZeneca’s marketing and medical promotion strategies across assigned regions and products. Conduct regular, high-quality medical visits to promote products and increase awareness among healthcare professionals about the company’s products, their indications, and clinical benefits, aligned with an approved visits plan and tailored visit objectives. Maintain up-to-date records of interactions, activities, and doctor profiles using CRM tools (e.g., Veeva). Organize and manage promotional meetings (RLM, ROM) and ensure efficient budget use for promotional activities. Monitor competitor activity and local market dynamics to inform promotional strategy and optimize positioning. Coordinate with internal departments for medical information, pharmacovigilance, and marketing feedback. Maintain strong, ethical relationships with healthcare professionals and uphold AstraZeneca’s professional values. Continuously develop product and therapeutic knowledge through company training and self-learning. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the market, demographics, and managed care information relevant to the assigned territory to optimize sales strategies. Adhere strictly to all industry regulations and company policies regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, including the distribution of product samples. Job Requirements: Essential Criteria: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field. Minimum 1-2 years as a pharmacy Representative in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrates strong cross-functional collaboration skills by working effectively with colleagues across departments such as Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, and Market Access to ensure alignment, share knowledge, and drive cohesive business strategies. Strong knowledge of medical promotion practices, ethical guidelines, and local healthcare regulations. Ability to analyse sales data (e.g., IMS), identify opportunities, and implement targeted action plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals. Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Veeva) and daily reporting procedures. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage territory visits, events, and budgets effectively. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and capable of adapting to changes quickly and professionally. Commitment to continuous learning, with a proactive approach to maintaining up-to-date product and market knowledge. Proficiency in both French and Arabic is required.
