Regions Hospital’s  pharmacy resident is responsible for performing all activities assigned during individual rotations; responsible for the accurate and appropriate compounding and dispensing of medications; supervising supportive personnel (if required); performing operations, functions and assigned responsibilities in a timely manner; promoting appropriate drug therapy through clinical functions and activities as assigned; and performing other duties as requested. Responsibilities will include: * Prepares & dispenses med orders according to established policies, procedures, & protocols. * Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective med therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory standards. * Contributes to the quality & effective operation of the department. * Maintains competence required for current job title. *  Other - Performance Criteria/Standards for Department. Work Schedule:  Required Qualifications: Mostly days Monday through Friday with some evenings as required by the rotation.  Every third weekend. Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Licensure/Registration/Certification:  Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Minnesota or obtains license within 90 days of hire.  Preferred Qualifications: Licensure/Registration/Certification:  Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or obtains during residency.
