The Pharmacy Resolution Center Staff Pharmacists shall report directly to the Pharmacy Resolution Center Manager. Working in accordance with the FPN Medication Refill Protocol Policy, the Staff Pharmacist primarily performs the duties of reviewing medication refill requests under conditions outlined by the refill protocols, signing passed protocol orders under provider cosign, collecting patient data from the electronic medical record to perform, communicate, and track medication interventions to optimize therapy, contacting patients to schedule clinic visits or communicate medication refill information. Other required department operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, acting as a pharmacy resource for FPN Providers and office staff for any pharmacy related questions, communicating with retail pharmacies, health insurance companies, drug companies, and/or physician offices to facilitate medication refill and prior authorization approvals or denials. Staff pharmacists will also assist in training new team members as needed, act as a resource for the Pharmacy Resolution Center Specialists and act as interim Manager upon request of the Pharmacy Resolution Center Manager assisting with delegation of daily tasks and work role assignments as needed. Open availability is required. In the absence of the Manager, the Staff Pharmacist will report to the person designated by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Bachelor’s Degree Pharmacy
  • Preferred Doctorate Pharmacy
  • 3 years Retail Pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Mail Order or Specialty pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Pharmacy Benefit Company Preferred
  • 3 years Long Term Care Pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Inpatient Hospital or Clinical or Ambulatory Pharmacy Preferred
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - State Licensing Board
