POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, the Pharmacy Shipping Clerk is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions according to client specifications and is responsible for other duties assigned. Responsibilities Perform routine and professional pharmacy functions. Accurately pack and ship prescription orders for KnippeRx in a timely manner. Responsible for stocking freezers with gel packs. Follow all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order. Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws. Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work site. Responsible for keeping an adequate stock of boxes and supplies at shipping station. The above duties are meant to be representative of the position and not all-inclusive. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year pharmacy experience preferred Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to lift 20lbs Ability to work in a standing environment Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously Ability to perform repetitious work accurately Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once. Ability to learn from a variety of techniques Ability to follow established process flows Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations Attention to detail Work independently with little supervision and meet daily expectations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Location of job activities 100% inside Must be available for evenings and weekend shifts if needed Noise and / or vibrations exposure Reaching (overhead), and handling Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Sufficient to operate standard office equipment Stand, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer Lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
