Inherent Requirements · Grade 12 and Computer literate · SAP working knowledge would be advantageous · Stock management qualification will be advantageous · Previous experience with medical / pharmaceutical goods is advantageous. · Theatre or Pharmacy Stock Control would be advantageous. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Ordering of ethical, consumable and surgical stock · Ensuring correct quantities of stock are ordered according to Netcare Stock Policies · Ensuring that stock is ordered from the correct suppliers in order of preference · Processing orders timeously and ensuring follow up and feedback to stakeholders · Out of stock items to be communicated to pharmacists, nursing staff and doctors · Unpacking of surgical and ethical orders with special attention to fridge lines · Capture of surgical items dispensed to a patient · Management of month end processes. Preparation and participation in all aspects of a full stock take and monthly cyclical counts · Participate in the monthly cyclical counts and scheduled stock takes · Attend to the stock management cycle of slow moving, near expiry date stock for return to the supplier · Available for shift work, part of stock rotation team on weekend roster · Daily stock movement duties and administration (housekeeping, identifying slow moving stock, near-expiry stock); · Dispensing surgical stock, Data capturing, packing of stock and replenishing theatre stock and ward stock. · Maintain a good interpersonal relationship with Pharmacy Department, nursing personal and unit manager. Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Stock Clerk is responsible for ordering and managing stock, ensuring correct quantities are ordered according to policies, and processing orders in a timely manner. Additional duties include unpacking orders, capturing dispensed items, and participating in stock takes.
