Job Description - Pharmacy Tech levels 1 - 5: Assists the pharmacist in providing optimal pharmaceutical care to the patient. Gathers, labels and distributes medications accurately and efficiently. Packages, prepares and safely compounds medications including hazardous substances accurately and efficiently. Handles, manages and distributes controlled substances in compliance with regulatory requirements and department policies; and assists with drug diversion surveillance. Assists with maintaining accurate medication inventories and billing of medications. Effectively communicates utilizing established systems and processes. Performs responsibilities and duties of the job in a manner that is attentive to age and ability considerations. Cross Training: Candidates selected for this position will be assigned to a specific opening (CSP or Unit Dose) at a home location (St. Marys hospital or Methodist hospital). Cross-training between CSP and Unit Dose at both St. Marys and Methodist hospital or another campus in Rochester may be required. Overnight shifts may be an opportunity if positions are available. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording.
