Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician (All Levels) to join the team. This role will be full-time and part-time Monday – Friday, Days/Evenings rotating shifts. Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities: * Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies. * Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits. * Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures. * Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors. * Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock. * Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately. Minimum Qualifications: * Education: High School or GED. * Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience: Pharmacy Technician 1: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience. * Pharmacy Technician 2: One year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience preferred). * One (1) year IV training/experience.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for maintaining medication stock, pre-packing supplies, and restocking code carts. They also fill automated dispensing devices and assist pharmacists with drug selection and counting.
