Job Summary The Billing Clerk will be responsible for but not limited to managing all patient payments and internal billing for our house accounts. This key role involves direct interaction with patients to discuss payments and update account information, as well as collaborating with other departments to support overall operational efficiency. You will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities * Manage and process patient payments, including updating payments in our system and handling credit card declines. * Answer phone calls and emails from both patients and providers regarding billing questions. * Process billing for house accounts that are set up for clinics. * Conduct weekly audits to ensure payments have been made on all orders that were sent out. * Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations. * Perform other duties as assigned and required to support departmental and organizational goals. Required * High school diploma or equivalent.  * Minimum of 1 -3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy setting.  * Demonstrated understanding of patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. * Familiarity with pharmacy terminology (e.g., drug names, dosages, common abbreviations) and the general pharmacy workflow. * Proven experience with customer service, particularly handling financial or account discussions over the phone. * Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace). * Strong verbal and written communication, detail-orientation, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Preferred * 1–3 years of pharmacy technician billing experience in a 503A or 503B work environment. * Proficiency with Pharmacy Management System (PMS), such as LifeFile.  Physical Requirements * Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer * Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting * Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels * Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing.
