Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional customer service to patients during prescription drop-off and pickup. - Enter and process prescription orders accurately into the computer system, consulting with the pharmacist as needed. - Retrieve, count, and prepare medication orders to support pharmacist workflows. - Create and update patient profiles, including health and insurance information, within the computer system. - Respond effectively to patient inquiries and assist with medication-related questions. - Support pharmacy inventory management and ensure proper storage of medications. - Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in pharmacy operations. - Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to facilitate seamless patient care. Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Pharmacy Technician required. - Licensed by AZ Board of Pharmacy required. - Valid pharmacy technician license or registration as required by state regulations. - Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with pharmacy management software. - Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
