Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the pharmacy team ensures the safe and timely production of standard-of-care and clinical trial treatments for Peter Mac patients and other hospital sites. With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and collaboration, the team contributes directly to advancing cancer treatment and improving outcomes - keeping patient care at the centre of everything we do.      About the role  As a Grade 3 Pharmacy Technician you will acquire a deep understanding of aseptic manufacturing workflows and develop specialty practice in the preparation of cytotoxic, non-cytotoxic, biohazardous and investigational medicines. You’ll enjoy working in a busy, team-based environment to provide excellent patient care by contributing to cutting-edge cancer therapy.    In conjunction with other members of the Cytosuite team, you will;  Optimise pharmaceutical compounding processes  Maintain accurate dispensing records and stock management duties  Contribute to quality control programs  Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and safety and quality assurance standards.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join Peter Mac’s Cytosuite, where you will be supported to expand your skills and expertise in a dynamic hospital environment at the forefront of cancer treatment and research.      About you  You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.      You’ll bring with you:  Certificate IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent, such as the Peter MacCallum Chemotherapy Preparation Course.  Three years’ full-time hospital technician experience. Perform technical functions to facilitate safe and timely supply of aseptic products      Following completion of credentialled training, undertakes technical functions related to dispensing and manufacture of sterile products in accordance with departmental policies and procedures including;  •  Generation of labels, claiming against the PBS, selection and preparation of stock and equipment  •  Set-up and maintenance of clean environment, compounding procedures, packing and labelling of product  •  Quality control procedures. 2. Undertake general duties associated with stock control   Perform stock control tasks in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with department policies and procedures, including;  •  Maintaining stock levels in accordance with agreed range and quantity of in-date stock  •  Stock ordering, auditing, and expiry date checking  •  Facilitating internal stock movements and recycling returned stock  •  Maintaining and filing documentation relating to stock orders  •  Work with the pharmacy stores technicians to manage stock shortages  •  Working with the Senior Cytosuite Technicians/Cytosuite Production Manager to reduce costs and wastage. 3.
