Description
Memorial Community Hospital and Health System is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform a variety of routine and advanced technical duties to support the safe and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications. This includes sterile compounding, inventory management, billing processes, and compliance with USP standards. What You’ll Do: Shift Details: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Label, fill, and deliver medications to patient care areas. Prepare IV admixtures aseptically and accurately. Maintain compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards. Package unit dose medications per standard procedures. Manage expired or discontinued medications and complete documentation. Maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies, including ordering and stocking. Process invoices and assist with billing for administered medications. Support Pyxis medication delivery systems and crash cart medications. Assist with 340B and VFC program maintenance and compliance. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. What We’re Looking For: Education & Licensure: High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 19 years old and have no drug-related convictions. Current Pharmacy Technician registration in Nebraska (RPhT) Certification through a state board-approved or nationally recognized pharmacy technician program (CPhT) must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Experience: 1+ year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Experience with sterile compounding and USP standards preferred.
