Description
Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician/Assistant provides technical pharmacy services to the patients and clients of the Centre. 1. Community College Certificate in a recognized Pharmacy Technician program 2. Minimum of two years experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting (an equivalent combination or education and experience may be considered) 3. Demonstrated experience in parenteral drug preparation and pharmacy distributive activities 4. Strong computer skills including pharmacy systems 5. Word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail systems are an asset 6. Chemotherapy preparation an asset 7. Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written) 8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Candidates must have completed the following requirements related to registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists prior to the application to this posting. No candidate will be successful to this position unless the candidate has completed all of the following: • Completion of a college level Pharmacy Technician Program (accredited college preferred) • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT)
