Position Overview: Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician will assist with operational and distribution responsibilities related to pharmacy functions at Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital. This role supports the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient medication services within a collaborative healthcare environment. Location Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital 380 Rinehart Rd Lake Mary, FL 32746 United States Schedule PRN Responsibilities Essential Functions Demonstrates understanding of safety, emergency, and risk management procedures. Understands the hospital mission, personnel policies, goals, customer service standards, and objectives of the Pharmacy and Orlando Health. Familiar with general duties and processes of the Pharmacy department. Identifies and utilizes resources and departments for customer service and patient care based on need and availability. Operates pharmacy equipment in accordance with safety regulations and policies. Performs basic Pharmacy Technician procedures consistent with scientific principles and departmental policies. Executes drug procurement and buyer procedures in line with departmental and organizational standards. Assists pharmacists in medication distribution, including aseptic admixture techniques (e.g., chemotherapy) and tasks related to automated dispensing cabinets. Qualifications Qualifications Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification: Must maintain current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy. Experience: Minimum of 1 year and up to 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
