How you’ll contribute The Pharmacy Technician supports the acute care hospital pharmacy by performing a variety of distributive and technical duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This role assists with medication preparation and dispensing, refills and maintains automated dispensing systems, and ensures accurate daily medication cart fills. The technician manages pharmacy inventory, including ordering, restocking, returns, and handling shortages, and repackages bulk medications as needed. Responsibilities also include compounding sterile and hazardous products in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Technician helps maintain a safe and organized work environment, participates in performance improvement activities, and supports the pharmacy team in delivering timely, high‑quality patient care.
