Exciting opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Technician at our Main Campus R5 Chemo Pharmacy location. Role Overview: Perform inventory management (ordering, receiving, restocking). Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology. Compound medications including chemotherapy in a cleanroom. Assist with pharmacy inspections. Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures. Make occasional deliveries to satellite locations. Perform any other pharmacy operational task needed for patient care. Complete annual competency assessments. Maintain pharmacy files and records in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Key Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred. PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required. NYS Pharmacy Technician License with current registration Although prior chemotherapy experience is not required, having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial. Core Skills: Someone who readily takes on challenges without unnecessary planning. Able to handle and manage crises effectively. Known to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. Able to follow through on commitments and act with a clear sense of ownership. Resourceful and make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information. Able to work well with others and is flexible to a variety of responsibilities. Hours: 37.5 hours per week 8-hour variable shifts, with start times as early as 7 AM and ending as late as 10 PM; mostly Monday–Friday, with some weekend/holiday coverage to meet the demands of the pharmacy (schedule may vary to meet the needs of the department).
