Description Full Time SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintains an inventory of drugs and supplies in accordance with hospital formulary and requirements. 2. Prepares and places drug orders and required non-drug orders with manufacturers and wholesalers. Receives drug and non-drug supplies, assures the items/counts are correct as per invoice. 3. Distributes supplies in proper location under proper storage conditions 4. Prepares necessary documentation to initiate processing the invoices 5. Manages recall information and return goods process. Assist in communicating and handling of product recalls. 6. Maintains a list of medications that we are unable to procure, low stock, or manufacturer backorder and sends list to Pharmacy director every Monday Manages expired drugs stocked in Pharmacy, including CSM 7. Evaluate inventory levels, making adjustments to inventory min/max/reorder levels, safety stock, lead times and inventory formulas to ensure sufficient supply to meet customers’ needs while maintaining targeted inventory levels 8. Assist in management of critical stockpile medications 9. 340B policies and procedures § Shares expertise and assists with training, education, and communication to staff and Program participants regarding updates to 340B policies and procedures. § Audits purchasing records to ensure compliance. § Audits utilization and 340B purchasing records to ensure software and/or tools are functioning properly. § Assists with implementation of action plans to correct 340B compliance deficiencies, if indicated 10. Lead Coworkers by example, showcasing a positive and encouraging attitude while discouraging separation and conflict in the department, increasing employee satisfaction. 11. Maintain favorable attendance. Report absences in accordance with the employee handbook in the manner prescribed by the department director Requirements Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Licenses/Certificates: Current pharmacy technician license/registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Successful completion of AHA approved courses in BLS upon hire. Experience: One (1) year experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment preferred.
