Pharmacy Technician FULL TIME Opportunity Muskegon Family Care 2201 S. Getty St.  Muskegon, MI 49444   Pay Range- $16-$23 per hour SCHEDULE: M-F 9:45 AM- 6:15 PM WITH A ROTATING LATE-NIGHT THURSDAY 10:45 AM- 7:15 PM AND OCCASIONAL SATURDAY 9 AM- 12 PM. Information/eligibility is available from the U.S. Department of Education.    Position Overview  Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Business Manager and in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician assists Pharmacists in filling and labeling patient's prescriptions, updating patient personal and insurance information and ensuring accuracy in the prescription filling process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Enters prescription orders into QS1 accurately and efficiently. Creates and updates patient’s personal profile in EHR including patient demographics, allergy information, and insurance information. Counts 25 prescriptions per hour accurately and efficiently. Ensures that the patient receives correct prescriptions. Answer the phone in a timely manner. Assists Pharmacists with filling and labeling prescriptions. Communicates with providers and their staff to obtain refill authorization. Knowledge of common medication brands and generic names, doses, and indication to patients and staff. Collect cash and/ or credit for payment of prescriptions Understanding of medical terminology Ability to respect confidentiality and patient data Maintains a courteous, helpful and conscientious attitude in dealing with co-workers and patients and their families ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Keeps the work area neat and clean. Regular and prompt attendance at work. All other duties as assigned. State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician License. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
