QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program at the Community College level
  • Part A Registered Pharmacy Technician (R.Ph.T) designation from the Ontario College of Pharmacists or working towards the RPhT designation with OCP
  • Experience in Hospital Pharmacy strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and experience with IV admixtures preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current concepts of hospital pharmacy practice
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Pharmaceutical Math
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills
  • Knowledge in the use of Pharmacy Computer System and ability to support basic trouble-shooting an asset
  • Good knowledge of the operation and standards of practice for Pharmacy Technicians in hospital setting
  • Knowledge in the operation of equipment such as unit-dose prepackaging machines, and automated dispensing units, preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and well organized
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
